"Now I know you can’t live on hope alone. But without hope, life is not worth living. So you, and you, and you - you’ve gotta give them hope. You’ve gotta give them hope."

"Most of our life is a series of images. They pass us by like towns on the highway. But sometimes, a moment stuns us as it happens. And we know that this instant is more than a fleeting image. We know that this moment... every part of it... will live on forever."

"Only through destroying myself can I discover the greater power of my spirit."

I, I want to wish you well
I didn’t watch you go
Cause I suppose I don’t know how
I, I will remember you
Not the way you left but how you lived
And what you knew
I, I want to feel your hands
I want to feel your fire burning
Right from where I stand
I’ll find my way
Cause you showed me how
I, I want toknow it’s you
When I hear your voice inside my head
Inside my room
I, want to touch the sky
I want to see the stars twinkle
Like they were your eyes
I’ll find my way
You showed me
I’ll find my way
Cause you showed me how
I, I want to smell your scent
I want to breathe the air I did before
Before you left
I, I want to wish you well
The only reason my heart beats
Is cause you showed it how
I’ll find my way
You show me
I’ll find my way
You show me
I’ll find my way
Cause you showed me how
You show me how
You showed me how

my short-short story

we had an extra credit writing for English that was a competition for the Buffalo News, it was just a short story, here's mine. I'm proud of itt : ] Ree helped me with it haha:

19F
As Chloe boarded the plane from her hometown Augusta, Maine, to Buffalo, New York, she knew that she was making the right choice by moving with Logan to Buffalo even though she loved Maine. Plus she didn’t even know what it’d be like living in Buffalo, it might be nice.
“Last call boarding to Buffalo, New York. Last call.” the voice over the loudspeaker spoke.
Walking down the aisle to her seat Chloe knew that with her luck she’d probably be stuck next to one of those annoying people who tried to talk the whole plane ride and all she wanted to do was sleep.
“Hi, you’re seat 19F huh? I’m Andrew, and you are?”
“I’m 19F... nice to meet you, Andrew” she responded with a hint of disappointment in her voice. She was stuck next to a talker.
Laughing at her response for her name, Andrew said “Well, what brings you to sweet ole’ Buffalo, New York then, 19F?”
“My boyfriend got a job offer he couldn’t say no to, you know. His dream job.”
“Ah, and you, 19F, don’t seem to enthused about this job offer he got, yeah?”
“Well, yeah, I guess. I mean. I’m happy for him, but I love Maine. I’ve lived here my whole life. It’s going to be such a big change” she responded softly.
“Yeah, I get it. But you never know what Buffalo may have in store for you. Well, I’ll leave you be now, 19F.”
“I don’t think so, you’re not getting off that easy. How come you’re going to Buffalo?”
“We all have secrets 19F, like you, your secret from me is your name. Mine from you, is why I’m headed to Buffalo.”
Chloe turned to face the window when she felt the small talk dwindling. Over peanuts and Sprite, though, the joking tone and easy conversation picked up again, and by the time the plane landed, Chloe felt as if she had known Andrew her whole life. It was the intimate and immediate kind of friendship that can only be shared by two utter strangers. They walked off the plane to baggage claim together, Chloe searching for Logan's smiling face awaiting her arrival, yet, he was no where to be found. Logan had told her to be careful in the large crowds of the Buffalo airport and had said she might not be able to find him, though.
But the airport wasn't quite crowed, she thought. It was more or less empty, with small crowds leaving terminals occasionally. And there was no possibility of getting lost, either. The airport she stood in was small.
"Andrew, do you think that we got off the plane and maybe weren't supposed to? This airport doesn't seem... right?" Chloe asked, stopping and putting her bag down beside her.
"No, I mean... it's definitely Buffalo. The flight attendant even said 'Welcome to Buffalo'" Andrew responded, walking on without her.
"Oh, I must have been dazed off or something..."
Panic rose in her throat, but she told herself she was being foolish. Andrew's calm smile became her lifeline. It was much too hot to be Buffalo, she thought. Logan wasn't there, but she kept on feeling as if Andrew was Logan, in some sort of way. God, where was she going. This wasn't where she was supposed to be.
"I'll give you a ride home", Andrew said with a trusting grin.
Place and time, time and place. Where was she?
She opened the door, sweat heavy on her palms.
Welcome home.

"So we'll stand, hand in hand, on my roof, and watch the ants scatter when the lights get turned on. The waves will come crashing in as they flicker like flames against the walls, but still we won't flinch. The world's an ugly canvas, but you're the prettiest paint."
